Romain Cross Pointe Auto Park, a division of Romain Automotive Group with United Companies, is hiring a Finance & Insurance Manager for our Evansville, IN location.  This full-time salaried and exempt position is responsible for producing additional revenue for the dealership through selling finance and insurance (F&I) programs to new and pre-owned vehicle customers.  This role works closely with the Sales Management team on training all Sales personnel in proper Finance department endorsements for products offered by the dealership.  Role requires you to maintain a license to sell insurance in the state of Indiana.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Market and sell products provided by the dealership to our customers.
  • Meet or exceed budgeted per-vehicle F&I average income levels before chargebacks.
  • Process all retail sales through our Accounting department.
  • Ensure all paperwork has correct title information, lien information, taxes, etc. prior to submitting to Accounting.
  • Develop dealership relationships with various lending institutions with which we do business.
  • Provide daily reports on activities and present weekly reports to the Management Team and the President. Attends at least weekly meetings to review F&I progress.
  • Monitor and provide managers feedback on how each Sales Consultant is performing their duties related to F&I processes.
  • Review Sales Consultant performance after each sale to constructively identify strengths and opportunities for improvement.
  • Actively promote new and pre-owned vehicle leasing, including making leasing a viable option for each transaction.
  • Acquire and maintain licenses for selling insurance.
  • Monitor the daily sales logbook to stay current on vehicle sales. Monitor customers who may not have been turned over to F&I and follow-up with Sales Consultants to properly handle that customer by phone or in person, if possible.
  • Follow up on collections of Buy Here / Pay Here contracts when payments are not made on schedule.
  • Travel as business needs may require.
  • Perform other appropriate duties as may be assigned by management.

Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Education: Some college-level experience is expected; a degree is highly preferred.  Must already possess and maintain or acquire and maintain a license to sell insurance in the state of Indiana.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ prior new car dealership floor sales or F&I sales experience.
  • Skills & Abilities: Past work history must confirm a high level of energy and communication as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced and detail-oriented style of leadership.  Prior knowledge of the new car dealership sales industry.  Must be able to communicate effectively in both one-on-one and small group presentation settings, at all levels of the organization.  Demonstrate a focus on customer service and deal effectively with customers in all situations.  Demonstrate a personal commitment to quality in all aspects of work.
